Children of Inmates needs your help to purchase holiday gifts for our children!
Around the holidays, most families have the means to purchase toys and gifts for their children. That’s not the case for many families and caregivers raising children of incarcerated parents who often even struggle to find the money to spend on a school uniform which consists of an embroidered shirt and khaki pants.
Due to Covid-19 and the temporary suspension of our Bonding Visits, the overwhelming majority of our children haven’t been able to see their incarcerated parent since last December. This holiday, with the absence of their parent and the inability to see them, now more than ever, our children deserve all the support, generosity, love and kindness that the holiday spirit can provide. Think back to when you were a child and you received that very special gift or toy that you’ll always remember. Was it a bicycle? A skateboard? A doll? A video game? How exciting was it and how did it make you feel? This holiday season, please help us with a donation and create a very special moment for a child by providing them with the smiles and memories that all children yearn for and truly deserve.
Below are some examples of what we plan to purchase our children this holiday season (based on their wish list) and with your contribution, we can make it happen. We are also open to your input as well. If you have a particular gift you would like us to purchase for a child, just specify in the comment section of your donation.

$50- (e.g. arts & craft kits, remote controlled cars, sporting goods (footballs, soccer balls, basketballs etc.), Crayola kids gift box, children’s books)
$100- Young children (e.g. skateboard, bicycle, rollerblades, scooter, sporting goods, hoverboard, clothing
$250- Tweens/Teens (e.g. shoes and clothing, tablet, gaming system, electronics, musical instruments, sporting goods, bicycle
$500- Sponsor a family of 1-2 children (includes gifts for the family and a holiday meal)
$1,000- Sponsor a family of 3-5 children (includes gifts for the family and a holiday meal)
$1,500- Sponsor a family of 6+ children (includes gifts for the family and a holiday meal)
