Adam and Lacy Want to Adopt a Baby

Donation protected
My husband and I were married in April 2017.  In January 2018 we found out we were pregnant with our first child. It was the best feeling in the world.  A little over a month later we ended up in the hospital at 3 am.  We had lost our baby due to a miscarriage at week 11. It was the worst feeling in the world.  Luckily we had family surrounding us to help us get through it.  We never actually found out if it was a boy or girl.  But,  in our minds, she was a girl.  We named her Hope & she  is always on our minds and we visit her all the time. Then, while celebrating our 2 year anniversary, we found we were pregnant with our 2nd child.  I was so nervous and so excited all at the same time.  When we found out our baby's due date was actually going to be Christmas Day, we were overjoyed.  I was able to feel him moving and kicking.  When Adam would come home from work, he would get excited and move everywhere.  Everything was going pretty smoothly until week 21.  Then, everything went downhill.  I am very blessed though that we were able to have a doctor notice something very off. Dawson, our baby boy, was wanting to come out very early.  So, I ended up at Carle hospital in emergency surgery.  I was then place on bedrest for a couple weeks until we were rushed back to Carle where I was placed on a bed and a few hours later Dawson had made his arrival. At 23 weeks, on August 28, 2019, our baby boy weighed one pound and 5.7 ounces.  He was 12 inches long and definitely looked like mom and dad.  He spend the next 3 days fighting for his life and proving to the nurses and doctors that he was there to fight.  He moved so much the doctors and nurses couldn't believe it. He would even play with his tubes just so he could get the attention.  He was too little though and had a lot of issues and he passed away.  Because of all the damage that was caused through all of this, it will be a while before we can try again.  So, with that being said, Adam and I are ready to take the next step and adopt a baby.  We would love all the love and support as we go through this.  Our hearts have been ready for a child for a long time.  We would love our friends and family to be apart of this journey.
