Adam and Abby’s IVF Journey

I always knew I wanted multiple children. In October of 2023, I found out I was pregnant, and on December 18th, Adam and I were told there was no heartbeat during our first ultrasound. I was told to wait a week before deciding on the next steps. A week later, at the follow-up ultrasound, there was still no heartbeat. On December 28th, three days after Christmas, I had a D&C. We were given the green light to start trying again in February 2024, and we continued trying for over a year. We were finally instructed to see a fertility specialist in April of this year. After multiple appointments and procedures, it was discovered that both of my fallopian tubes are scarred shut, likely a result of my D&C. I have had many emotions over the last few years: utter sadness, so much anger, confusion, and honestly just worry that I will never have a newborn baby again and Owen will not get to be the most amazing big brother I know he can be. Our doctors are advising IVF as the next step. I never expected to be in a place where I am in need of others' help in order to have a child, but that’s where we are. Adam and I, nor most people, are not in a place where we have $20,000 saved for this. I felt shame in even needing to make a post like this, but ultimately we need help. Please be in prayer for Adam and me as we undergo something we never expected to happen. Anything you can give is highly appreciated.
