A.D Events Presents:PAID GIG competition in aid of Refuge

This April 26th Ambar Dhesi Events CIC will be holding a competition at RUMBA Newcastle!

This is an opportunity to network, build on your performance skills or maybe you just want to get yourself back out there whilst supporting numerous charities!

This open mic style competition isn’t just for singers or rappers, it’s a variety show!

Comedians, Drag artists, Dj’s, spoken word, dancers and anything you could possibly think of, you’re all welcome to come along and show us what you’ve got!

Over the last year, 4 of our competitors, 3 of which being our finalists, all got a chance of performing at some of our Static Events! The feedback from them all has been incredible! We’re here to give you all of the support & help you may need for performing, not to mention confidence building & the Peer support at our events has been outstanding.

Ambar Dhesi Events CIC has been branded a safe space for all and that is exactly what we had set out and will continue to do!

Our chosen Charity for this event will be Refuge, supporting Women & Children battling domestic violence. 1 in 4 women will experience Domestic violence in there life time, Every 30 seconds Police receive a call for help relating to domestic violence. 1000’s of Children & Women are supported by ‘Refuge’ on any given day. More information about Refuge: Refuge opened the first refuge in West London in 1971. Since then we have grown to support almost 7,000 women and children every day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage,stalking, trafficking, prostitution and so-called 'honour' based violence.
