Activist's Guide
Donation protected
The Activist's Guide is a website and it will be a Facebook and Instagram pages. The homepage and "organizations" section can be viewed at www.activistsguide.org .
The Charlottesville/Albemarle area contains an abundance of activist organizations with very little, if any, communication between the groups. This results in an inefficient similarity of efforts. This duplicity is ineffective as groups engage in the same activities and to compete for an audience, etc.
The Activist's Guide will include a list of activist organizations in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area and support services available to them as well as a calendar on which events can be shared. There will be direct, immediate entry from approved groups to post entries to the calendar. The calendar will create an interconnection between values-aligned organizations as well as individuals.
It is a community project following a participatory Wikipedia model, but posts will be vetted before they appear.
