Our beloved Trang - mother to Ava, Evan and Aria, wife to Tristan, active parent in the Normanhurst West Public School community, Action Dance Academy dance mom and all-around magical being - was recently diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer and is now facing the toughest fight of her life.

Just a couple of months ago, Trang began to feel unwell and went in and out of hospital for various reasons, with no clear answers or early signs it could be cancer. Initially she went the doctor for pain in her calf which turned out to be a serious blood clot. This was diagnosed and treated, and she went back to normal life. Soon after she was back in hospital with a severe cough which was a result of fluid in her lungs. Then it was a sore arm which turned out to be another blood clot. She couldn't catch a break.

Eventually, a CT scan showed there were some dark spots in her abdomen and after a small exploratory surgery we received the news we never thought imaginable - cancer. After several tests, it was found that the source was stomach cancer and that it had spread to more parts of her body. Cancer is an extremely debilitating disease, and has caused Trang excruciating daily pain and exhaustion that prevents her from doing the most basic of tasks. The side effects of the treatment have made things even harder for her, both physically and mentally.

Trang is a loving mother of three incredible children and was lucky enough to marry her long-term partner, Tristan, at the hospital chapel surrounded by some of their closest family and friends in December. Anyone who has had the pleasure of knowing or meeting Trang knows that she is a beautiful and selfless soul, full of kindness and compassion, who brightens up everyone’s life by just being in it.

Now, it's time for us to show up for Trang. We’re rallying around her with love, and with a call for support to ease the overwhelming financial burden that comes with battling aggressive and advanced cancer. That’s why we’ve created Trang’s Wellness Fund - a dedicated fund where donations will go directly to support Trang and her three beautiful children. Every dollar contributed will help cover the cost of continued treatment, therapies not covered by insurance, medical co-pays and ongoing living expenses.

We've always admired how our community comes together to support each other in our darkest times. We have felt completely lost watching Trang go through this, but we know that with your help, we can support her and the children in life-changing ways.

Trang is a strong, determined and passionate person, and we know she will give this fight everything she’s got.
