My name is Elijah Langlais. I am a Life Scout in Troop 7, Lowell, MA, and I am currently working on the Eagle Scout rank.
For my Eagle Project, I will build three wheelchair-accessible tables. They will be placed at LeBlanc, McNamera, and Montbleau fields in the Pawtucketville neighborhood of Lowell.
I played T-ball on these fields when I was little, and my younger brothers continue to play baseball on these fields. My family has spent countless hours playing and coaching on these fields and cheering on players on these fields.
In addition to adding more seating to these fields, they will offer accessible options for spectators who may require them, thus fostering a more welcoming and inclusive community for the players and their fans.
I am hoping to raise $1200 to cover the cost of materials and supplies necessary to build these tables. Any remaining funds will be donated to the Lowell Youth Baseball and Softball League.
