Hi, my name is Catherine, and I'm starting a fundraiser for my nephew Ben, an 8-year-old boy with cerebral palsy due to complications at birth. Over the years, Ben has faced numerous challenges, but his love for life and adventure never wavers. He enjoys going to the zoo, sharing fascinating facts about the animals, and exploring the world with his younger siblings. He also loves to play volt hockey and challenger baseball whenever he can and has a blast doing so.

Unfortunately, Ben's family is facing a tough situation. Their current vehicle, which was able to accommodate the family of five and Ben's wheelchair, has broken down. This has left them without a reliable way to transport Ben to his appointments, outings, and everyday activities.

As Ben has grown, he has outgrown his current car seat, and unfortunately, he can no longer use a regular seatbelt due to his medical condition. Booster seats are not supportive enough for him and do not provide the necessary safety or comfort. This makes it impossible to travel safely in a standard vehicle, and they are now in desperate need of a wheelchair-accessible vehicle to transport Ben and his equipment.

Without this specialized vehicle, Ben and his family are unable to continue doing the things they love and need to do. The new vehicle will allow Ben to be safely transported in his power wheelchair, attend important appointments, and enjoy outings with his family—things many of us take for granted.

We are reaching out to the community for support. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will help Ben and his family get the wheelchair-accessible vehicle they desperately need. This will make a world of difference in their daily lives, giving Ben the opportunity to continue exploring, growing, and being a part of his family’s adventures.
