Access Henfield has been set up to enable people with disabilities to fully enjoy life in Henfield village.
Our aims are:
- To help remove barriers in a positive and encouraging way, enabling people with disabilities.
- To encourage awareness, acceptance and consideration within the community for all disabilities.
- To be a point of advice, information, support and referral to relevant organisations.
We carry out access assessments in local businesses and have also funded equipment e.g. handrails, ramps and radar keys for Henfield public disabled toilets. We have been campaigning for local councils to improve disabled parking and look at drop curb positioning.
