On Sunday 12th April 2026, Alan and his daughter will be taking on an exciting challenge — abseiling down the iconic Anfield Stadium in Liverpool.
Originally, the abseil was actually given to Alan as a Christmas gift. But rather than just doing it for the experience, he decided to turn the moment into something meaningful by using it as an opportunity to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society, a charity doing incredible work supporting people living with dementia and their families.
Alzheimer’s and dementia are causes that are very close to our hearts. A much-loved member of our family — known affectionately to us as Gaga, the best father, grandad and great grandad! - is currently living with dementia. Seeing first-hand the challenges that come with the condition has made us realise just how important the support, research and services provided by Alzheimer’s Society truly are.
By taking on this challenge together, Alan and his daughter hope to raise awareness and funds that will help support those living with dementia and the families who care for them.
Abseiling down one of football’s most famous stadiums is definitely a little nerve-racking, but knowing it’s for such an important cause makes it completely worthwhile.
Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to us and will go towards helping Alzheimer’s Society continue their vital work supporting people affected by dementia.
Thank you so much for your support ❤️
