Abseil for MerseyCares Charity

we are Laura and Stephanie, both district nurses for MerseyCare. We are doing a abseil on the 19th July off the Liverpool cathedral to raise money for Mersey Cares charity

Taking on this challenge to raise funds to support the ‘Mersey Cares’ charity to help our specialist, mental health and community services do more to fund enhanced support, projects and services usually outside the scope of the NHS.

Funding has allowed the charity to provide gifts and well being packages for children in care, fund ZSA suicide awareness training and make therapeutic sensory gardens and spaces for patients working towards recovery to go home. Additionally, funding has allowed the set up of a monthly support group for young onset dementia patients, host interactive and creative spaces for children and young people to write about their experiences after COVID, and provide support for foster carers and parents to understand teenage emotions.

But there is still so much more we can do to make a difference in the lives of our patients and service users within our communities and so I’m raising funds for this charity to do more good and #MakingitMerseycares for 2025!⭐️
