My company, AboveBoard Financial , will match a cookie for each of the first 200 donations!
We are coordinating directly with Dr. Tina Wu @ NYU Langone ER to ensure smooth delivery. I did this personally this past week, and it was really appreciated. Let's do it again, even bigger!
*ER Heroes = everyone working there - doctors, nurses, techs, janitors, receptionists, etc. Everyone showing up there is an ER Hero.
**Levain Bakery is currently open (we're checking daily) - if that changes, we'll coordinate with Dr. Tina Wu to figure out an alternate treat the ER Heroes would enjoy.
The backstory: This past Thursday, my husband, 6 yo son, 3 yo daughter & I sent over 100 Levain Bakery cookies to the NYU Langone Emergency Room. We wanted to show our appreciation for the amazing, grueling, life-saving work they are doing. We checked first with our friend & NYU Langone ER doc, Dr. Tina Wu , to make sure this would be helpful (and not just one more thing to deal with). Tina gave us the green light. We called Levain Bakery and explained we needed each cookie individually wrapped, because of where the cookies were headed. Levain Bakery (UWS location) agreed to do this at no extra charge. The response was overwhelming! Tina tells us that the brave folks at the NYU ER were still talking about the cookies the next day!
Let's do this again, but this time with enough cookies that each ER Hero there to take some individually-wrapped cookies home to share with their loved ones (who are also bearing the risk of the life-saving work being done).
