Abi’s Half Marathon for Hartshead Manor

This July, I’m taking on the Aire Valley Half Marathon to raise money for something that’s really close to my heart; Hartshead Manor, a care home in Cleckheaton where I volunteer, and their Residents’ Fund.

This fund helps to give the residents at Hartshead those little extras that make life feel special, such as trips out, entertainment, group activities, and celebratory events. These moments might seem small to some, but for many residents, they’re the highlight of their week - something to look forward to, talk about, and cherish.

Unlike larger charities, this is a small, local effort with a direct impact. Every pound raised goes straight into improving the quality of daily life for people who have already given so much in their lifetimes.

I’ll be running 13.1 miles (21km), my longest run yet, and I would be so grateful if you could support myself and the residents. Even the smallest donation makes a big difference, whether it's helping fund an afternoon tea, a music session, or a day out!
