About my adventure!

Hey friends! I’m Abi, and I plan to go to South Africa (Potchefstroom) to do a YWAM DTS (Disciple training school) called Fire and Fragrance. I will spend the first three months in a lecture phase where the team will equip me with the training and biblical knowledge before I embark on three outreach months. The exciting part is that I won’t know where I’ll be going for the outreach until I get there!!!

Why am I going?

This year has been one of the most challenging years of my life, as I’ve watched my older brother suffer from a severe brain injury that happened overnight. But through that deep pain, disappointment and grief, God has revealed himself to my family and me in a whole new way, increasing my hunger for him. It has also made me want to share the goodness of Jesus with others. I am taking a gap year, so I can grow in my relationship with God and refine my theology by diving deep into His word. Doing a YWAM DTS will be a way of helping me with this. My relationship with Jesus is the most important thing in my life, so I'm taking a step of faith by going out to South Africa. I feel God is calling me to go, and I would SO love you to come on this adventure with me.

How I'm fundraising

I am starting a job, so I'll put most of what I make into my fundraiser. I also LOVE clothes and buying and selling, so I’m using that hobby to raise money and babysit. But after all this, I still have a gap and would love it if you could donate/support me! You won’t just be donating money into the next 6 months of my life, but you’ll also be investing in me and my future, as this is something I’m passionate about.

How can you help?

The money is essential, but above all, I'm looking for friends, family and supporters to enter into what I'm doing and get behind me in prayer. I want you to be involved as I start on this adventure, which I feel God has put on my heart.
