Friends, Neighbors and Community Members,

We Need Your Help: We are seeking professional legal advice regarding possible Class Action against the City of Hamilton's management of Encampments, sanctioned or otherwise.

We are reaching out for support to hold the City of Hamilton accountable for thoughtful, sustainable solutions for the unhoused that balance the needs of ALL residents.

Throughout Hamilton, citizens are deeply concerned for the safety, health and well-being of families, children, seniors and businesses as encampments invite crime, violence, illicit drug use and mental health crises into our public spaces. Hamiltonian's safety concerns regarding Encampments have been ignored.

A vote to erect a low-barrier, high-acuity sanctioned Encampment in a residential neighborhood on the contaminated Barton/Tiffany lands occurred with no public consultation. This model accommodates illicit drug use and eliminates typical shelter restrictions such as curfews

If you don't live nearby an impacted community, your donation will demonstrate solidarity with those that do.
