Hello everyone!
I have completed my first semester in the Dental Hygiene Program at Ferris State University and have been given an opportunity to go to Alness, Guyana as a Mission Trip in May of 2021! This mission trip has been on my heart since the day I decided to enter Dental Hygiene. During my time in Guyana I will be working with Dentists, Dental Hygienists, and Dental Assistants from the University of Michigan. We will be providing extractions, sealants, dental cleanings, restorations, and tooth-brushing instructions. Last year in the clinic, the team saw about 700 patients in 4 days!
In order to go on this trip I will need to raise $2,000 which would cover the flight, housing, and dental supplies. I would love to be able to go on this trip, as it’s an amazing way to help the people of Guyana and will be an awesome clinical experience. The group of us that are working on going will be doing several fundraisers such as collecting cans and selling Oral-B supplies up until May and I would appreciate any support to be able to go on this life changing trip.
