Aaron's New Zealand trip
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sarah and I am here to ask for help for my son, Aaron, who is in New Zealand on a working adventure. He has been in New Zealand now for just over a year and has had a super time out there. He has managed to find a few different jobs to fund his adventures, sometimes working 70+ hours a week on a hop farm in 30°C + temperatures to support himself. He recently bought himself a second hand camper van from a friend he had made out there, that was coming to the end of his adventure and returning to the UK. He bought the van so that he always had somewhere to sleep, rather than hostels or camping. Now this is where he started to get into problems. He has applied to extend his working permit, but didn't realise that you had to have quite a bit of money in the bank to show that you can support yourself while you are there, and he did, until he bought the van. Once you make the Visa application, you can't work until they make their decision. That's when he found out that the van was sold with only 2 days MOT on it and it will cost $1500 to put the mot on it. So now, he has no money and isn't allowed to work to replace the money and he is desperate. It breaks my heart that I am not in a position to help financially but I think everyone is in the same boat with the cost of living being so high. He doesn't know that I am setting up a gofundme page for him but I know that he and I will be so very grateful to anyone that can help out. Even £1 or £2 would help him get food and water. Thank you in advance from me, Aaron's Mum. ❤️
