Bidwell Adoption #1

It is with great excitement I announce the restoration of this GoFundMe page because it means it is time for Aaron and Ashley Bidwell to start the adoption process for their 2nd child finding the perfect sibling for Elijah. If you are not familiar with their story, I want to share with you why we are asking for help during this process. After 11 years of marriage, the Bidwells have navigated obstacle after obstacle which includes, but not limited to, a long-distance marriage to support Aaron’s service in the Marines, a congenital heart disorder limiting the option for natural birth, a surrogacy resulting in miscarriage, fertility issues, and then a worldwide pandemic changing the route of their almost adoption of a child they had fostered for over a year. In October 2021 God answered all our prayers. With His perfect timing along with the love, support, and donations from all of you, the Bidwells were able to welcome home their incredible son, Elijah Bidwell.

Personally, I have known Ashley since I was 2 years old which means we have been through several seasons of life together including playing as kids. If it were up to me, I chose to pretend we were Spice Girls, play outside, or ride bikes. But if you asked Ashley, she chose to play “babies” every single time because she wanted to be the mom. Having the opportunity to watch my best friend finally become a mom to Elijah and fulfill her lifelong calling to permanently play “babies” has been one of the most heartwarming feelings I have experienced. The season with Aaron and Ashley building their family with Elijah has been nothing short of beautiful and perfect.

At this time, The Bidwells are ready to start preparing for their next season as they begin the adoption process again to expand their family and give Elijah the big brother promotion. This brings me to why I am restoring the GoFundMe page because, as some might know, adoption can begin to add up financially. To give you an example of the fees broken down, $10,000 for a deposit, $1,000 - $3,000 for home inspections, and $6,000 - $12,000 in legal fees. Those prices are not including the actual adoption which is how we derived the total ranging anywhere from $50,000 – $60,000. Anything you can give can aid the Bidwells expand their family and not let a price impact the cutie in the picture to becoming a big brother. Please help the Bidwells share their love and compassion to welcome home baby #2.
