OUR STORY:
On Saturday, November 7 at 1:08 PM we received a Facebook message that started us on a life-changing journey.
A young woman we know and love asked if we would consider adopting her baby, and we said YES! We could not be happier to welcome this little child, due in May, into our family and our hearts. We consider the Birth Mother to be a spiritual daughter, so this feels like adopting our grandchild. If you've talked with us since November 7 you know we are beyond thrilled and can talk of little else.
Even though this is a targeted adoption, a LOT of money is required to make it possible. We have already seen God's provision in this process, and can't wait to see how else He provides!

Below are some questions we have received and would like to answer here.
HAD YOU CONSIDERED ADOPTION PREVIOUSLY?
We have always wanted to adopt, and talked about it both before and after getting married. Over the past 17 years of marriage we have put considerable thought and prayer into what adoption would mean for both us and our child/ren.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE EXPECTANT MOTHER CHANGES HER MIND?
As much as we already love this baby and long to grow our family, we also want the Expectant Mother to know that she is the BEST person to raise her child. If she should change her mind before the adoption is finalized, we would happily be godparents. If God uses this adoption process to help this brave young woman through a time of uncertainty, then it will be worth every moment of our time.
At that point, we would already be licensed to adopt, but would have to take time to grieve our personal disappointment before seeking God about moving forward with another adoption.
HOW CAN I PRAY FOR YOU?
Please pray that we will be prepared for this huge lifestyle change, and for peace in the uncertainty that lingers until everything is finalized. Pray for peace, health and wisdom for the Expectant Mother as she navigates this hard decision, and for the baby as he grows.
