Aaliyah's Legacy: Love and Resilience

Hello, I am Damon Torain the proud and loving father of Aaliyah Nicole Torain. Aaliyah was born on July 30, 2006 to myself and my loving wife Danielle Manley-Torain. She immediately was nicknamed sunshine by my late grandmother Marilyn Torain because from the day she was born she lit up the lives of everyone around her. From the time Aaliyah was a baby she suffered with Chronic Bronchial Asthma. Despite the fact she was hindered medically from this affliction she never let it stop her. Aaliyah grew as a free spirited, good hearted, helpful individual who always loved to laugh have fun and help others. She was a great big sister , a good friend and most importantly an amazing daughter. Even through tough times and difficulties that is common amongst teenagers she managed to bypass and surpass the odds. We could not ask or pray for a better daughter so it is with deep regret and heavy hearts that we have to announce her untimely passing due to respiratory failure on July 4, 2025 . She currently worked at the Kingsway Arms Manor nursing home as a CNA doing what she loved...helping people.

Aaliyah would've been 19 years old on July 30th. As a family we are heartbroken and humbly ask for your help to celebrate Aaliyah's life and home going. All donations are appreciated. We also ask for loving memories and experiences to be shared in Aaliyah's honor. We thank you in advance in our time of grief.
