Aahan's Eagle Project: Flower Beds at Bethany Elementary

Flower Beds at Bethany Elementary
Hello, my name is Aahan Rathod and I’m a sophomore at Mountain House High School. The past three years of my scouting journey have led me to this final point, which is developing and implementing my Eagle Project. The project which I found had the most impact on my community and allowed me to devote the majority of my time and effort was creating flower beds at Bethany Elementary. This project will allow me to give back to my community by providing a fresh source of food for students to eat during lunch, creating a beautiful landscape, and also giving students practice with gardening, which is a great form of relaxing the mind and promoting a positive change in the neighborhood.
Currently, across the world, there are around 600 million farms carrying 8 billion people on their shoulders. Over the next decades, this number is expected to decrease significantly by almost 40%. Although my project is quite small in comparison to large farms around the world, the impact that it has on nearly 900 students is prominent. This project can evoke a sense of community for students and also provides them with a new experience in the outdoors.
I plan to raise $1450 to purchase all the necessary materials and equipment, which includes tools, wood, paint, soil, safety equipment, etc. Any donation amount is highly appreciated and will be put into use to make sure a great outcome is achieved. Any extra funds will be donated to Bethany Elementary.
Donation in supplies is also highly appreciated. Any supplies that could be put into use, such as soil, paint, landscape barrier, fertilizer, etc.
Thank you for taking your time to read my project and in supporting an improvement in our local community.
