AAC device for my neurodivergent daughter to help communicat

Donation protected
Hey! My name is Dani, I am mum to Eloise - my amazing 11 year old daughter. She is neurodivergent, diagnosed with autism, a learning disability, ADHD and other diagnosis.

recently, despite being somewhat verbal she has been really struggling with frustration as a result of not being able to communicate how she feels and not understanding all spoken language. This has been really distressing for her, causing meltdowns, upset, anger and anxiety.

we’ve been advised that an AAC device (augmentative and alternative communication) would really benefit her. However, it would need to be a separate device to her tablet that she plays on. The best device for this type of thing is an iPad. As a family, we just cannot afford this item at the moment. You have to purchase the software, make sure it’s WiFi and cellular and insure it.

We know Eloise would benefit hugely from this - you can apply through charities but it can take quite a long time and we are desperate to try and alleviate the stresses of her day to day life as soon as possible.

thank you so much if you’ve taken the time to read this. Sending all our love.
Danielle and Eloise. Xxx
