Riverview French Club -Holiday Dinner Basket Fund

Donation protected
***Our goal has been updated to reflect outside donations.
This holiday season, the Riverview French club is seeking donations in order to ensure that all of our Oakmont and Verona neighbors have a holiday meal. We understand that with the pandemic and inflation, some local families are struggling more than ever, and we want to alleviate the stress of wondering where their next meal may be coming from. Working in conjunction with The Verona Food Bank and The Riverview Community Action Center, all donations will go towards building each family needing a holiday dinner basket.

A $50 donation would ensure a complete meal for a family of four; however, any contribution is welcome. We are so thankful for your support of the Riverview French club and its project and your fellow neighbors! Your help makes Riverview the close-knit, kind community that it is! Merci beaucoup! Happy Holidays!

Items in each basket include:
A whole turkey
Stuffing
Mashed potatoes
Gravy
Corn
Scalloped potatoes
Carrots
Cranberry sauce
Green beans
Sweet potatoes
Dinner rolls
Apple pie
Hot chocolate

Last year, the French club raised enough money to send little care packages with each basket, including items such as oatmeal, soup, macaroni and cheese, and a $25 gift card to Giant Eagle.

*Snacks and juice boxes are added to family baskets with children at home.

Thank you to the following businesses for their generous donations, making our 2021 baskets possible: Harrison Everrette, Verona Dental, Starbucks (Robinson and Monroeville locations), Leona's Ice Cream Sandwiches and Millie's Ice Cream, Giant Eagle Verona, Target Harmarville and Costco Waterfront.

The Riverview French club participates in culture-enriching activities throughout each school year. Members participate in numerous events with the non-profit HelloNeighbor, giving students real-world exposure to multiple cultures and traditions. Students also participate in many culturally enriching field trips. Some include the Carnegie Museum of Art, Madeleine Bakery, Macaron Bar, Phipp's Conservatory, Food Glorious Food and The Gaynor School of Cooking.
