Hello everybody! I’m Hayden Voth - I am in 8th grade at Old Trail School in Bath, Ohio.
Our community, our state, our country, and the whole world is going through hard times. I am in 8th grade and our grade, along with seniors everywhere, are missing out on some real special events. Instead of focusing on the negative, I want to be positive and work to help people in this time of need.
My classmates and I are truly blessed - in this time of struggle we can all try to help others. Our physical selves should be isolated, but our thoughts and ideas should be the opposite. So many small businesses are going through hard times. The least we can do as young and helpful students is aid these struggling families and their businesses.
The four core values of Old Trail School are goodness, service, respect, and responsibility. We are doing a great service to people who are challenged in these hard times by donating and helping in even small ways. My idea is to raise funds for a locally-owned restaurant and deliver a wonderful meal to the doctors, nurses, and all the people who are risking their lives every day to keep us safe.
I have chosen Rizzi’s Ristorante & Pizzeria, a family-owned restaurant, and Akron General Children’s hospital. Both are local to Old Trail School and are an important part of our community. Any donation is helpful - it’s not the size of the donation but that we all come together to help! Whatever we do will help our world one step at a time.
I am starting Sunday night, April 12th, and will raise funds for one week, delivering this great treat to the hospital on Monday, April 20th. Please help me reach my goal of $2,000!
Thank you for helping me help others in our community. We owe these amazing people a lot so let’s work together to give them something to enjoy.
Rizzi’s
Rizzi’s is a family-owned restaurant and pizzeria in Copley, Ohio. The family serves homemade recipes originating four generations ago in Northern Italy where the family first began operating a bakery in 1875. Today that tradition continues as the Rizzi's prepare and serve the same family recipes which have pleased generation upon generation.
Akron General Children’s Hospital
Akron Children's Hospital is nationally ranked in six pediatric specialties and is an integral part of the community. It is a children’s general medical and surgical facility and a teaching hospital.
Opened in 1890 as a nursery, Akron Children's Hospital is now a pediatric medical center servicing much of Ohio.In addition to two hospitals, Akron Children's operates more than 60 care locations that provide urgent care and primary care. Partnerships with other hospitals, including the Cleveland Clinic, serve to strengthen its medical service.
