Hi, My name is Rachel, and I am fundraising for the charity Misson for a Cause.

Misson for a Cause is a charity run purely from donations and volunteers. Misson for a Cause supports less fortunate people who need a helping hand. Every Monday at Queen Victoria Market, our community of volunteers gets together to provide a warm plate of food, some clothing, sanitation products and groceries to the most vulnerable in our society. Some nights there can be up to 300 people who rely on us for a hot meal and warm clothes.

Misson for a Cause also supports others within our local community, such as refugees.

Over the past month, I've had the pleasure of working alongside the creator of Misson for a Cause charity Leigh.,

Where I have been able to see first-hand the amount of work, time and expenses that go into running the misson, Leigh works 3 jobs to ensure that no one goes without. Leigh has been doing this for 2 years now from donations, her own funds and the support of the volunteers.

Unfortunately, death hit the family of our leader Leigh as she has lost her Father in Law in US. Leigh and her wife had to take an emergency flight to his funeral. Costs were ridiculous, and we can't fathom their pain. I know Leigh herself is too embarrassed to ask for support as she's usually the one helping others but now is the time for everyone to help support our leader, Leigh. Leigh has spent thousands on flights and then has time off work while in US. Majority of Leigh's wages normally would go towards the Misson. Now it is our time to step up and help. Any donation would greatly be appreciated. Donations would be used to support Leigh get back on her feet and ensure the Misson is able to continue providing warm meals and clothing each week to those in our community.
