In Support of Moynihan Family
Donation protected
The world shimmers a little less after the sudden loss of the one of a kind Mike Moynihan. This exceptional human being walked in love, light and laughter. Rooms got a little brighter. Music got a little louder and hearts got a little fuller when Mike Moynihan was in the house. Dinners definitely got a little better when Mike Moynihan was in the house:)
The tragic loss of Mike is the unpredictability of life; without notice, the unexpected rips away our sense of normalcy. Our amygdalas get hijacked and our hearts get broken. None more so than Aggie’s, Connor’s, Bella’s and Francesca’s.
When the unthinkable happens, we, as people who love the Moynihan Family, find ourselves reeling and looking for ways to honor the legacy of this amazing man and support Aggie, Connor, Bella and Francesca as they navigate the unimaginable. Time and time again, our community has rallied together and embodied the power of collective good will. It shows up as grocery shopping, dinners in the fridge, shuttling and errand running or contemplative walks on the ridge. These are all important, helpful and ways to support people we love. And these will all happen in the coming weeks and months as we rally to support the Moynihan family in both the short and long term.
The Moynihan family has some heavy lifting ahead, and our love, support and compassion can help. While the future of a life without Mike is uncertain, the present is not. Aggie and the kids will put one foot in front of the other and honor Mike by reentering their lives, resuming their education and going out into the world to do good work in tribute to their incredible Dad who was beyond proud of each of them. Connor is poised to enter Med School and Francesca is a rising junior at Santa Clara.
Your generosity will honor Mike, assist his children, and provide essential financial support in this rebuilding portion of their lives. Your generosity will make a profound difference in the lives of Connor and Francesca, allowing them to continue their education and build lives that would fill Mike with pride. And with a nod to the King of Smart Ass…Mike would also want it noted that Bella is done with school, is already employed and moving to Washington DC, but might enjoy a nice new sectional that her Dad would have been able to kick back on;)
The Moynihan family is grateful for all the positive thoughts, love and vibes that have been sent their way. They feel them. Aggie, Connor, Bella and Francesca look forward to celebrating Mike’s life alongside those of us who loved him sometime in July (TBD).
