I'm writing this on behalf of Katie — a single mom, a fighter, and honestly, someone who deserves a break.
Katie’s three months behind on her mortgage and bills. She works as a cleaner, paid hourly, but the work isn’t consistent — and when it is available, she shows up and grinds through it, even when her body is breaking down.
What most people don’t know is: Katie is a survivor. She was assaulted a year ago, and since then, she’s dealt with serious back pain that limits what she can do. She's missed work, struggled with the pain, and still kept pushing. She's struggling to get repairs done with no help and finding baby sitters is challenging. She brings in roughly 800 a month and her bills surpass 2k. She isn't sitting around waiting for help but she desperately needs it.
She’s not sitting back. She’s been repairing her house herself — painting walls, fixing windows, patching a cracked foundation — while barely making ends meet. All she wants is to hold onto the home she’s fought so hard for.
She’s not lazy. She’s not giving up. She just needs a lifeline — not forever, just right now.
Her average bills are around $2,700 a month — mortgage included. That means she’s $8,000 behind (3 months), and every day she’s closer to losing the only stability she and her child have.
If you’ve ever seen her content, talked to her, or just know what it’s like to be one bad month away from disaster — please help. Donate, share, comment, repost — anything. It truly matters.
Let’s show her she’s not alone.
