Hi my name is Patricia and I am raising funds for the family of Jonathan LeCompte. While working in Lumberton NC on March 14, 2024 Jon saw a man trying to carjack a car from a nice lady and he went to her rescue. He was able to get the man out of her car, she was unharmed except for the trauma, however the carjacker got in Jon’s NC State truck. He backed up the road and then drove forward where he deliberately steered the truck towards Jon striking and killing him.

Jon is survived by his wife, my daughter, Stacey and their 5 year old son Jackson. He loved them with all his heart and soul and was their hero. He did a heroic act which is who he was, always ready and willing to help someone in need.

Jon’s family is facing the long road with the criminal court case which will require Stacey to miss time from work, travel to and from Fayetteville to Lumberton, care for Jackson, funeral cost, and other expenses that will arise. This family was a two income family and have been reduced to a one income, so all help will be appreciated as they grieve and attempt to start healing.
