We are excited to announce that Portadown Defenders Flute Band has recently purchased an old hall on Carrickblacker Road, Portadown. This marks one of the first instances in many decades of a building being purchased and transformed into a Band Community Hall within the local area, and we are thrilled to transform this space into a vibrant hub in the community.
However, the building has suffered from damage having laid dormant for many years and requires significant renovation to reach its full potential. While we have actively sought grants to cover a portion of the renovation costs, we need your help to ensure we can complete all necessary work and manage repayments. Your support is crucial to turning this vision into reality.
Our Goal: We aim to raise funds to cover essential maintenance and modernisation projects that can be undertaken in the short term, including:
- Repairs and Refurbishment: Addressing damage and wear and tear to ensure the building is safe and functional.
- Facility Upgrades: Enhancing accessibility for all community members, including those with disabilities.
- Interior Modernisation: Updating the hall’s interior to create a versatile, welcoming environment for various activities in the community.
Why This Matters: The new Hall will be more than just a building; it will be a symbol of growth and support in the community. By contributing to this campaign, you will:
- Support Community Growth: Help create a vibrant space that fosters community development and connection.
- Enhance Community Life: Provide a well-equipped space for events, meetings, and celebrations that bring us together.
- Ensure Accessibility: Make the hall more welcoming and usable for everyone in our community.
Thank You: We are deeply grateful for your support and commitment to establishing this vision. Your generosity will help us create a space where our community can thrive for generations to come.
