During our time in Peru, we’ve had the privilege of getting to know a family that has forever touched our hearts. Their children attend the after-school program where we volunteer, and despite the challenges they face at home, they are some of the kindest, most joyful kids we’ve ever met. They greet us with big smiles and carry a warmth that shines through everything they do.

Their father is a remarkable man. He’s hardworking, humble, and deeply committed to his children. He spends long hours working to provide for them, doing everything in his power to give them what they need. His dedication is inspiring, but no matter how hard he works, the family’s living situation remains heartbreaking.

Right now, their “home” is little more than wooden panels and a green sheet roof with holes in it. When it rains, water seeps through. When the wind blows, the walls shake. It is not the safe haven every family deserves, it’s just what they’ve had to make do with.

Our goal is to raise $4,000 in the next 4 weeks to build them a house that protects them from the elements and gives the children a place to grow up safe and proud.
