The 2926 needs a tool car for passenger excursion service.  Lots of tools, spare parts, repair items, an electric generator, an air compressor, and lubricants the maintenance crew will need on every trip with 2926. The former AT&SF 3939 baggage car is generously being donated to the New Mexico Steam Locomotive and Railroad Historical Society.

However, the car needs inspection, repairs, and AMTRAK certification of its trucks at a cost of $100,000.  Once it is in Albuquerque it will cost another $50,000 to outfit the car’s interior.  Your help is needed to get this job done.  Please donate any amount you are able to contribute.  The 2926 depends on your continued generosity and thanks for your support!
