About Oganihu Foundation Ohambele
Oganihu Foundation Ohambele exists to ignite hope and create lasting change in the lives of children in Ohambele Village, Abia State, Nigeria. Rooted in the Igbo word Oganihu, meaning progression, the foundation is dedicated to empowering school-aged children (ages 5–16) through access to quality education and basic needs.
We believe that every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive—regardless of their circumstances. Through our scholarship programme, we provide financial support for school fees, school uniforms, and essential learning materials. We also support families by helping to meet the nutritional needs of the children, ensuring they can focus on learning without the burden of hunger.
Oganihu Foundation was founded by Chikere Ekeke. Inspired by her family legacy and deep roots in Ohambele, Chikere is committed to creating lasting hope and opportunity for the children of her ancestral home.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to unlock potential, remove barriers, and invest in the next generation of leaders from our community. Oganihu Foundation is more than charity—it’s a movement for sustainable progress, equity, and opportunity.
