My dad Norberto Torres was taken on the morning of November 7th, 2025, by ICE at 9:48 am in Salem, OR. He was able to make a call to let us know that he was detained. He was getting ready to work when he was detained without reason.

He has no criminal records; he has been in the United States for more than 25 years.

He is a hard worker, a father of 5—three of whom are minors. His 5 children need and depend on him. His lifelong dream was to own a food truck and share his love for food and cooking with others. Now he is no longer able to continue this dream. Due to this major life-altering event, his family and he are struggling mentally and financially.

Our family is distraught; our whole lives have changed completely. We’re afraid we may never see him again.

*UPDATE- Hello to everyone. Thank you all for your support during the last month regarding my dad. I wanted to come on here and say that he has been released and is back home with our family. we truly appreciate everything everyone has been able to donate, this has really helped.
