It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm our father, son and brother Travis was lost in a car accident on Wednesday night.

A man so full of passion, a total lack of filters and a desire to live life as hard and fast as he could, it is hard to comprehend he has gone. No one can say he didn’t live a more interesting and authentic life than most people would achieve in a full lifetime. We have joked for a long time that Trav is a cat with nine lives. I guess he reached his final one.

He loved nothing more than sitting around a fire with friends and family a beer in hand and a delicious meal he prepared. He loved nature and camping, the water, fresh or salt, the sun, his garden, driving fast or working on a hilux, reading fantasy novels in a rare moment of sitting still, looking after his animals, playing with his nieces and nephews, laughing, the louder the better, having a good time with his mates which often included some amazing advice and insights, and above all Maya. She was his centre, his purpose and his world. You will never meet another person like him. Anyone who knew Travis knew he adored Maya.

He would regularly talk about setting Maya up in life and unfortunately, he didn’t quite get the time to achieve this. With this goal in mind, we are asking his friends and community to help in any way they can to secure Maya some financial stability with the main goal of being able to purchase her a car next year and be able to pay for some of her university costs in the future.
