A young family’s house fire

Hi, my names Casey and I am fundraising for my Sister, brother in law and my 3 year old nephew… Here’s their story…

18 months ago their cottage was flooded due to a problem with the downstairs toilet resulting in them needing to move out of their home and into temporary accommodation to allow work to begin, we all believed that in a couple of months the work would be done and they’d be back home to make new memories with their 2 year old son in no time, unfortunately this was not the case and before we knew it 7 months had passed still no further forward with their home they were celebrating their sons 3rd birthday still in temporary accommodation while being drip fed information about what damage had been done to their house and still not knowing how long the work would take to be completed.

After going back and forth being stuck in limbo they were finally starting to get the answers they wanted and the work in their kitchen was nearly complete and they could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel until they were told that the their living room needed a lot more work doing to it to get it liveable due to the terrible water damage that had took place when the house flooded. Another set back, another hurdle to jump before they could move back into their home …

December rolls around and like any family my sister and brother in law were praying they would be back home in time for Christmas to allow my nephew to have the magic of Christmas in their own home.

Thursday 12th December my brother in law received a phone call that has completely shattered any hopes of them having their home back. Unfortunately a house fire has took place and torn through there home too …

I really can’t imagine how they are feeling.

my Sister, Brother in law and my 3 year old nephew now have no home to call their own.

We are heartbroken as a family for them.

They are the strongest, kindest and most beautiful people I know and I just can’t believe that this has happened to them. They are devastated.

Any donations will be going to them to help set them up again.

They are going through such a horrific event at what is supposed to be such a magical time of the year.
