My name is Rawan, I’m 28 years old, and I’m from Gaza.
I once lived a peaceful, stable life with my husband, Sohaib. We dreamed of our own home and the future of our first child. But the war changed everything.
During the recent bombing, our house was completely destroyed. My husband lost his job and every source of income. We were forced to flee to his parents’ house in Deir al-Balah, where we now share a single small room with many displaced relatives.
Life here is unbearably hard:
• There is no electricity or running water. We carry water in buckets and use a small battery for light.
• We have no gas for cooking, so we prepare meals over firewood in the open air.
• I am pregnant with our first baby, yet there are no proper maternity supplies or enough food. Hospitals are overcrowded, medicines are scarce, and every day I fear for my health and the health of my unborn child.
I have photos of our destroyed home, of myself cooking over firewood, and of the ruins where we once lived. I share these not to seek pity, but to show the painful reality we are trying to escape.
I am writing this because we urgently need help.
Your donations will allow us to:
• Buy food and clean drinking water
• Cover delivery and medical care for me and my baby
• Provide essential baby items like milk, clothes, and blankets
• Contribute to daily living expenses and help us improve our basic living conditions
• Secure a safer, more dignified place to live
Even the smallest contribution can save our lives and give my child a chance to be born in safety.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who reads, shares, or supports us in any way.
