I am Sybil Janke and Paradise CA is my hometown.

It has been almost 4 years since a deadly wildfire swallowed the town of Paradise, CA. Eighty six people died, 14,000 homes were destroyed, as well as several schools and almost every business. Within a year debris was being cleared and and a path forward was starting to emerge and then the pandemic hit. Progress slowed and the few citizens left retreated indoors. Currently rebuilding continues and infrastructure is being repaired but Paradise families are still in need.

Paradise Stronger Executive Director Aaron Singer and Jess Mercer, a trauma expert, have partnered to design the Equilibrium Wellness Center. The goal of the center will be to provide a multifaceted program concentrating on the wellness needs of the individual, the family and the town.

In an effort to create unification of our fragmented community the wellness center will offer a place where everyone is welcome to come and decompress as well as a menu of wellness offerings including:

Counseling Opportunities

Nutrition Education

Family Recreation

Youth Programs

Grants have been secured to help with the building costs to convert a vacated space but there will still be items to be purchased. A digital large screen movie projector is one of those items.
