This Gentleman Has lived outside for going on 13 years now here in Monroe.. He is almost 63, he doesn't have an I.D, Birth Certificate, social security card, local relatives or the capacity to fix it all on his own, originally from ohio, no local address, hasn't driven in over 20 years and he is in desperate need of tender assistance.

He's been around the local shelters over the last 13 years, and just like many, he has a very difficult time mentally sustaining in those enviroments..(keeping it short)

We've been contacted by multiple people around the community who worry for his well being, especially with the frigid drop in temperature heading to below 0° .. we genuinely feel the same.

It has taken some time to develop a strong enough bond with him so that he would be willing to give personal information to be able to receive the necessary help for his situation - so over the last month we've done what we could privately to utilize resources on warm updated undergarments, food, water, hand warmers, hygiene needs & whatever else would help him get through the day along the way as we figured out the full extent of the problems hindering him from restoration.

Bringing us to today... I encountered him at about 6:30am around the hospital, he looked extremely worn down and frigid.. I spent the following few hours with him .. he genuinely desires help yet he knows his situation is not a simple task to fix so he just avoids almost everyone and everything due to the weight on his own shoulders..

Our hearts desire is to help him by whatever means necessary, just as we would want done for us if we were stuck in a position such as this..many have seen this Gentleman and have wanted express love, support, encouragement, provision, and help though there was seldom a way to do so..

I'm putting this out for the community to have awareness of the opportunity to help.. - yes it will take many steps, yet my sincerest desire is to see this man restored in a warm enviroment & not the alternative of life in the cold of winter..

He has given me the approval to work on his behalf for restoration & if anyone wants to be a part of impacting someone's life that truly would appreciate it.. this Gentleman is one of the most appreciative individuals I've ever met... he does not have a drug or alcohol problem he is severely disconnected from society and stuck in the gaps of life..He is very kind, respectful and gentle.. Out of Personal Respect I kept his face from the picture, however I look forward to him someday soon being able to express his gratitude to all who were a ray of Light in his world of darkness ❤️

As of now, his material needs are going to be super limited as he carries all he has for the most part until he is out of the cold and in a warm enviroment. When he is able to accept clothing/warm winter wear etc - He wears a size 14 pants and small/Xtra small in men's tops. He has boots, socks and undergarments as mentioned above & his biggest need is getting into a warm enviroment so that he can shower, recoup, shake out of the ptsd from being outdoors for so long and begin to take care of the things mentioned in the initial paragraph that is keeping him hindered from restoration.

I know this is a long post and a long shot... but I believe homeless, alone as a disconnected senior citizen is not how his story has to end.. I am willing to be the Hands, Feet, Voice, Advocate & Friend in need to help see restoration through with him.. and if anyone feels it in their innermost being to be a ray of Light in Love or a resourceful connection to someone in need.. this is someone who won't turn it away.

Lastly, I foresee a few weeks of dilligent progress in order to have a sustainable result for restoration just as it has been the case for others we've came together to help in the past. We know everything won't change overnight.. but being outside too long in the weather that's coming and things very well could change overnight.. so that is why I am expressing this publicly today.

I am very familiar with what it will take to see this through as we have successfully worked with others in the past. I am completely open to suggestions. I will be like water & trust that things will flow arightly through remaining dilligent no matter what obstacles arise.
