Hello, so I'm a little nervous, but my story has gotten a lot of attention lately.
I'm the mom who fell asleep on the bus while holding her 16-day-old baby girl. I've heard that there are a lot of supportive comments out there, and there was mention of doing a GoFundMe somewhere for a cheap vehicle.
I'm tearing up just writing this, thinking about it. Emma and I have been through a lot already, and while I appreciate the public transit system, it can be exhausting for a new mom. I have a lot of milestones under my belt: new sobriety, new relationships with my family through that, and a new person I've discovered within myself that I never could have imagined. I'm proud of me and comfortable in my own skin finally at 45 years old.
I've been through a lot and recently conquered a lot. I'm on an emotional rollercoaster with my new (again) momhood and touched by the support in my community as I was fearful of my character and validity as a parent being questioned. That being said, I decided to take a chance as I could use the help.
Thank you in advance. All you negative Nellys out there can just go have the day you deserve as far as I'm concerned. It takes a village, and I'm calling in mine. Have a beautiful day, friends.
