Peace and love family!
As many of you that know me know by now, I love cultivating events in my community centered around bringing people together to share some delicious vegan food. Back in September we held our 3rd annual free Vegan Festival, where we fed the community for 8hrs straight. Now, as the holiday season is upon us, we are hosting our 2nd annual free Thanksgiving Dinner. Last year we did it outside. It was great. This year, the Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement House (our local community center) was gracious enough to let us use their space to host our dinner. I'm beyond grateful for their support.
On Tuesday, November 21st, just 2 days before Thanksgiving day, we will hold our 2nd annual free community Thanksgiving Dinner. We have some chefs that have curated an amazing menu including vegan ribs, mac & cheese, collard greens, bbq cauliflower, ziti, and so much more. We need your assistance ion helping us pay for everything; food, beverages, decorations, and miscellaneous supplies.
We have a $3,000 budget, and believe that with your generous contributions, we'll accomplish this goal in no time.
These vegan events, and this one in particular is important to me because not only is the holiday season upon us, and many people have holiday woes as they miss their loved ones that have passed away, their loved ones that are incarcerated, their loved ones they're no longer connected to for whatever reason, but also because it breaks my heart every time one of our community members dies from a food related illness. Truly. I've lost my father, my grandfather, 3 siblings, an uncle, and countless friends to food related illnesses. So, rather than simply want to give people just anything to eat for thanksgiving, which is the easy thing, I am fully committed to always providing plant based, vegan food to my community.
All funds raised will go towards the successful execution of this event.
Join me in bringing people together, over healthy and delicious vegan food, for the sake of our lives, and for the sake of making the entire world a better place.
Thank you in advance for your support in this endeavor.
Love ya'll!
