To bring all up to date with STWC:-
Sincere thanks to all donors we at STWC are now running three vans enabling our activities to continue to grow in both of our main activities of collecting and distributing donated food to vulnerable people and our upcycling/ recycling work. Our other activities at The Circulatory can be viewed on our website
We are regularly being offered more locations to collect food from so the need for another vehicle is now apparent as is the need for committed volunteers to drive collect and deliver the food we are offered. Additionally, we always require funds to maintain, service, insure and tax the vehicles.
Therefore, we are continuing to raise money in aid of SAVE THE WORLD CLUB (registered charity number 1096271) specifically for a medium Transit size van.
If anyone needs a house clearance we can offer this service at an extremely competitive rate thanks to our large Mercedes Sprinter. Please contact us for viewing and a quote.
We continue delivering food to those in need in the New Malden, Kingston, Surbiton, Chessington, Mitcham and wider surrounding areas plus regular food drops to both Kingston and St George’s Hospital and a weekly delivery to PCC Church.
As we approach winter months we are finding an increasing demand as more people isolate due to COVID 19 and/or many simply can not afford to feed themselves. Thanks to our partnerships with all the big supermarket chains, including Aldi, Lidl, M & S, Sainsburys, Tesco and Waitrose we are able to provide for all who seek our help.
Fritz Walleczek, Managing Director of Corporate Responsibility at ALDI UK said “We’re always looking for new and creative ways to put leftover food from our stores to good use. Our partnership with SAVE THE WORLD CLUB is enabling us to distribute even more surplus stock to those who need it.”
Please help us by donating (according to your means). Donations are eligible for Gift Aid, but best of all you, the donor, will know that you will help augment and even participate in the joy, love and respect given to the volunteers by the grateful receivers of the much-needed food boxes.
