A Tribe Called Run to The Speed Project

A Tribe Called Run (ATCR) is a vibrant running community rooted in Baltimore, embodying the spirit of inclusivity and unity through every stride. What began as a small group seeking connection during the challenges of the modern world has blossomed into a movement of over 300 runners.

In a remarkable opportunity, ATCR has been selected to participate in The Speed Project, a renowned 340-mile relay race from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. This is a HUGE deal for our community-led run crew! This race is known in the running community as one of the most challenging ultra races globally. It's not just a race; it's a chance for us to break stereotypes and showcase the greatness of Baltimore on the international stage.

Our runners are Will Walker, Cointe St. Brice, Alex Collado, Melody Thomas, Emily Lerman, Caroline Lampinen, Ashley Woods, who will be supported by Eze Jackson, Jeff Lordi, Neekta Khorsand, Kira Wisniewski, and Ryan Rhodes (camera/drones).

We take off at 4am on Friday, March 29 from the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles and then no sleep until the Las Vegas sign!

As we gear up for this epic journey, we are fully committed to radical participation – acknowledging that great things are achieved together. The ATCR team is more than just runners; it's a collective effort that involves coordination, support crews, sacrifice, and community engagement.
