Gretchen Filler is a mother, a daughter, a friend, a hard worker. She has been raising her two teenage daughters on her own for the last 12 years and has always been able to provide a roof over their head and the necessities needed to get by. Right now she is just simply needing a break!
Housing for a single momma isn’t easy!
Gretchen works for her local school district as a paraeducator and also has part time work she does weekly, but still falls below the income needed to pay high rental prices and has unfortunately left her and her daughters without a place to live and be able to call home everyday. A single income doesn't cut it around her area for the rent and utilities that make it possible to have a place for her and her two daughters to live.
It occurred to me as I have been working with some of the Camp Fire victims that if we could help 1,000’s get some type of housing we could help this single momma and her two girls find a place to call home.
Unknowingly, when I called her about this idea I felt God urging me to go with, that He was putting the same thing on her heart.
Let’s help this family purchase a 29’-32' ft travel trailer with a full size shower. She can afford the rent at places to put it and it would be theirs. I’ve watched hundreds of trailers be donated or funded through generosity of community for many of the fire victims and I felt like God was showing me we could use the same philosophy for a single momma who’s fallen Victim to rental rates that quite simply make it difficult for two income households to afford it let alone a single income.

*Have a 2000 travel trailer (everything must work and no leaks) you could donate or sell on payments or willing to sell at a discount? We will fundraise to cover the cost!
*Can you make a monetary donation towards a trailer? Our financial goal is at least $13,000 for a nice livable trailer where everything works and no leaks.
I know as a prior single momma housing is extremely difficult and everyone deserves a place to call home!
