I have always done my best to weather the storm and persevere on my own, but at this time in my life, I need to ask for financial help.... my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020 and beat it. We were ecstatic until last year when we lost a battle with her insurance company to cover the costs of treatment. What was initially described to us as a clinical trial for a new treatment ended up not being covered by insurance. Add to this the dynamic duo of hurricanes Ian and Nicole which battered my mom's town and left her with water damage, some of which was again not covered by insurance and so we had bills of almost $150,000.

My mom is a retired widow and in no position to fund those bills, so I took out a loan to help. I had a few debts of my own and am now struggling to pay this back and pay my own bills and provide for my son.
