I’m creating this fundraiser with a full heart for my beloved kūpuna friend who has been staying with me as we explore stable housing for her. Over the past few years, she has moved through a few different living situations, and my vision is to support her to land somewhere that offers ease, grounding, and a true sense of home.

She is a truly magical woman—wise, gentle, and deeply loving. Anyone who has been touched by her presence knows the light she carries and the care she gives so freely. This feels like a beautiful opportunity for our community to reflect that love back to her.

As a mother, this is deeply meaningful to me. I wish for the younger generations to grow up seeing what it looks like to support one another, honor our elders, and live with kindness. The world we strive for is created through our actions and the stories we choose to live.

I’ll be helping my friend apply for assistance programs that support long-term stability, and this fundraiser is meant to gently support that transition—whether by covering a short period of rent or help her move toward her own small home within the community.
