Please meet Ms. Josiane Valsaint. She has been our angel at the community health care clinic which I work at. She is a Haitian refugee herself and has been the guiding light to helping the Haitian community here in San Diego. Several years ago, she became part of our Mid City Family Care Clinic to help interpret for our refugee pregnant patients and families. She is always selfless, and gives all of her time, energy, money, and constant attention towards this community without any hesitation. Her sweet kids are yearning for more mom time. This 110% CONSTANT effort allows her very little to no self-care and therefore her health has been jeopardized.
Josiane is a single mom of three amazing children and needs to constantly work to provide the basic needs of her family. Along with her multiple jobs, she spends countless hours everyday, voluntarily, to help the community through her church and other programs . This woman barely even sleeps because she’s constantly on her phone answering questions for her Haitian community, at all hours of the night. As well as being an amazing on-call 24/7 Birth Doula. All of this she does with a smile on her face and love in her heart ❤️.
She’s had a few emergency health incidents this past month that has led her to the hospital and unable to work. She should be resting each time she is discharged, but as soon as she gets out she gives selflessly again to the community. I am setting up this go-fund-me page seeking donations from our amazing community. This would help decrease the financial burdens Josiane has so she can focus on personal self-care and family time. We all know how important this is for healing of not only our body but mind and spirit.
Please help me to celebrate this amazing woman and show her our appreciation for supporting our community. Please share this to anyone you think might be able to help her out. Even one dollar can make a difference.
Thank you in advance!
Erica
