Aurora’s story is one of resilience and love. At just 49 years old, she has faced down a rare and relentless cancer for three years. She endured countless treatments, never giving up hope, always holding onto her role as a mother, sister, and friend. Now, her journey is reaching its final chapter. The doctors have told Aurora and her son Steven Hernandez that the cancer has spread beyond what medicine can treat. She has months left, and our focus has shifted from fighting the disease to cherishing each moment, ensuring her comfort, and preparing for the days to come with dignity and peace.

Aurora’s wish is simple but profound: to leave this world knowing her family is cared for, her son is supported, and her memory is honored. Her greatest heartbreak has been learning that she is now too ill to travel to Honduras to see her family one last time. To make her remaining time as peaceful as possible, we are asking for help with the financial burdens of this time, including caregiving costs and funeral arrangements in New York.
