Aaliyah had her first child on May 26, 2022, and he is the joy of her life. From the moment she heard his heartbeat, she was determined to do her best to provide for him a beautiful life, even if it meant the father would not be involved.

She is a single mother who has battled postpartum depression but has bravely sought counseling and medication.

Postpartum depression can be so overwhelming for a new mom who already feels inadequate. Reaching out for help even when fear and shame want to keep you silent was her faith in God that has sustained her.

She was taken by surprise when her postpartum depression was used in an attempt to legally remove the child from her custody. The opposing party never mentioned being concerned about her or her postpartum depression and the allegations conveniently coincide with the state's request for child support. She received legal documents regarding custody and was forced to obtain a lawyer as quickly as possible. Thanks to her family we were able to obtain amazing lawyers but because the opposing party is unwilling to compromise the legal fees have become overwhelming and are increasing.

She is not at all trying to keep her child from his father but wishes for her child's best interest.
