Hi, my name is Stevvi. I am a single mom that recently moved to North Carolina to give my beautiful children a better life and to be closer to my brother.

We had moved from Virginia to Oklahoma back in 2021 after my oldest son and I had become homeless for 7 months. The move was the only choice I had so I could get back on my feet and be around family. I did get back on my feet but found out the reality of family wasn't what we had hoped for. We had lived in Oklahoma for the last 3 years. Two Christmases ago, my brother and I rekindled our relationship after many years of not talking. We never got the chance to grow up together, so when he asked me what I thought about moving closer to him, I couldn't refuse. So then we can at least grow old near each other. I had to sell literally everything that we owned to make the move possible.

Now that we have moved, things have been a little challenging getting settled in. Our funds are down to $10 since I've had to pay out of pocket for everything. The starter and calipers need replacing on my car, I need tires, oil change and it needs to go in the shop. Diapers are running low for my daughter too.

Creating this GoFundMe is way out of my comfort zone in many ways. It's really hard for me to reach out and ask for help. In no way, shape, or form am I asking for a handout. I'm just needing some relief. If my goal is reached and I'm able to get everything done, the rest will go towards getting my kids clothes and shoes for school.

I am heartbroken and not sure if i want to post this, but my brother passed away this morning, 7/22/25. Anything donated will not only help me and my children but will also go towards laying my brother to rest.
