A SCHOOL FOR KINDERGARTEN IN RURAL INDONESIA
Donation protected
Hi Everyone! I’m Judith! I usually don’t do these sort of things for me, however, this is something close to my heart. Not sure if you know but I’m originally from Indonesia and grew up in a little village called Sawangan. I’ve been very lucky to have moved to Australia and had a fantastic education and have been helping the village I grew up in continuously. Recently, we built a community school so that those ages 4-6 years old can start off with a good education before starting primary school. This was all going well, however, we realised we didn’t have enough funds to build a safe fence to ensure students are safe from falling off from the hill and into the forest (sounds weird I know but being in such a rural village, this is common, there are more trees and forests than buildings). We budgeted that for us to hire workers and build this fence it would be around $2000 AUD or Rp 20 000 000. I would appreciate it if you could donate to this cause and keep the kids in a safe learning and playing environment!
Note: what’s so special about this as well is that the teachers who are helping teach the students are just local mums who volunteer their time so that their kids can have a great start to their education!
